We were encouraged to study this machine because of a friend’s need to pick up the round bales on the field and carry them to the farm buildings without using an auxiliary internal combustion engine.
We wanted to avoid using an internal combustion engine in order to work in a quite environment. Finally, the machine is relatively simple and the good results it offers are due to a careful balance of the components in the hydraulic system.
The movement that drives the hydraulic pump is transmitted by the rolling of one rear wheel (a classic solution in animal draft systems). |
